BluePaw software is owned by a corporation known as BluePaw Enterpirses Inc. William Bridges is the CEO of BluePaw Enterprises Inc and manages most of the day to day business. Derek Berner is the Chief Technical Officer and takes care of most of the daily software programming & development. We are a web development company with 8 years in the business at varying levels. Let's introduce you to some of our main staff.

William has worked for both the public and private sectors as well as being in business solely for himself for over 8 years. He taught himself PERL programming and web design when he was 17 years old and has been involved in the industry ever since. At first his career was moved forward by small development jobs until he began working for an e-commerce firm in North Carolina called EarthComp. He helped them get their software for the sale and lease of computers off to a good start and began working for himself doing many smaller projects and managing small teams of contractors for several years. He then did consulting for two years for a company known as EliteWeb. He helped program the first revision of their software and also consulted for a couple years after. Then he began working for FEMA to work on disaster management software. William worked there for over a year using Microsoft technologies.Soon after that William took a job with Iveka doing several e-commerce, real estate, and content driven websites. Then he went back to working for himself again on several larger independant projects. After this he decided to move to Nashville where he worked for another company (Outdoor Central) that was in the business of building hunting and finshing licensing software for US state agencies. He stayed at that job for over a year and learned Ruby on Rails and much about Web 2.0 and Agile development. After that he decided to venture off and start BluePaw Enterprises Inc. He currently lives in Nashville with his girlfriend and their 9 month old son. Will is considered a very motivated, intelligent, and creative programmer by his clients and well respected by his peers.

Derek has been programming ever since he can remember. First he programmed in Basic when he was only 5 years old and began his life long aspiration to learn as many programming languages and techniques as he could get his hands on. His first professional experience began in 1999 when he also started attending Cornell University to start his bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He did some work For Data Science Inc. working with Microsoft technologies as a web developer tuning web applications and making them more efficient. He then began his internship for Apple Computer in 2001 where he worked in C, Java, and PERL developing automated testing scripts and tracking software and hardware defects down.In 2002 he started doing some freelance work while he was finishing out his degree for the next couple years. During that time he also contributed to some open source projects such as JRuby. In 2003 he graduated Cornell with his bachelors in Computer Science. Soon after that he began working for the State of New Mexico where he worked on increasing the efficiency of internal systems using many different languages and techniques including Java, Ruby, and C. In 2005 he began wokring for Outdoor Central as an open source developer. During his time at Ourdoor Central he became a specialist in touchscreen and print systems for the company. He also met William Bridges who later went to start Bluepaw Enterprises Inc. Derek decided to leave Outdoor Central and become the CIO for Bluepaw Enterprises Inc. Since then he has been managing teams of contractors and doing work on projects himself as well as training others in the use of Ruby and Ruby on Rails.

BluePaw software employs other contractors as well. From time to time this is needed to handle overflow on larger projects or clients that demand more than they expected to. Also we employ several options for design contractors to provide the best solutions and choices for our clients. This gives us a very diverse range of experience, resources, and abilities. We believe in excelence through diversity, intelligence, and willingness to research and accept the best solution (not the one we are most familiar with). Flexiblity and creativity are the largest assets of any company. In that regard we are wealthy beyond our greatest dreams.
